Cafe Chill is a locally owned cafe and restaurant on Wellawaya Road in Ella, open since 2009 and grown from a small juice bar into one of the town's best-known dining rooms. The menu is multi-cuisine, spanning Sri Lankan, continental, American and Chinese dishes alongside coffee, fresh juices and house-baked pastries, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options throughout. Its upper deck is the signature space, with cushioned seating set under a wave-form wooden roof. The kitchen serves breakfast through to late night, there is a full bar and live music, and the restaurant was named in TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Best of the Best for casual dining in 2024.
